  1.Calculating By Check Table
  (1) Conditions of pipe standard hea loss QbΔT=Tj-T0  Tj (maintaince temperature for media)T0(lowest ambient temperature)
  On the basis of △T = Tj 一 T0、 DN,δ,check Table3-1 and find the caculated heat loss Qb per unit length.
  Conditions of pipe standard hea loss(Qb):Carbon steel pipe,glass fiber thermal insulation, outdoor, and wind speed 9m/s.w/m

     δ—Thickness of thermal insuliation,mm

  3.Calculation For Heat Losses Of Tanks
  (1) a.According to the outer size of containers or tanks, calculate the total surface area.
  S=πD(R+H)
  S---total surface area m
  D---outside diameter m
  R---radius m
  H---height m
  b. Both end is cylindrical vessel
  S=πD(2R+H)
  H---height m
  c.Rectangularvessel:
  S=[(L×W)+(L×W)+(W×H)] ×2; m2
  (2) According to material and thickness of thermal insulation, temperature TO and Tj, calculate the surfaceheat heat loss per unit area by referring to Table 5.
  (3) Calculate the Total Heat Loss:
  QZ=(1.4~1.6)Q0·S …(3-3),W
  Hereinto:
     Q0— Heat loss per Unit area
     S—Total surface area of loss,m2
  (4) Calculate actually need for Cable Length.
  Ly = Qy / P0+Lw……(3-4)
  Hereinto:
     Qy—Total heat loss of conatiner。
     P0—Wattage per meter suitable to the highest maintenance temperature for electric heating cable, W/m. Refer to table
     Lw—Installation length on the basis of the number of junction boxes, generally 1m for each junction box
